In that case the unit is out of warranty and magellan will not repair it.

Your only option is to get it repaired at a local electronic repair shop.

The power port is generally soldered on the main board and so its a bit delicate job.

First take an estimate from them and if they charge you more than $70, I would recommend you to buy a new tomtom or garmin unit.
