Customer Question

I am working on my 2005 GMC Envoy with air springs in the rear. Yesterday I noticed that then springs were no longer pumping up. The compressor runs for a minute or so and then shuts off . If I restart the compressor with the inflate button inside the hatch it does not produce any air pressure or very little here either.

Ian,

Are you able to scan the suspension system to see if there are any fault codes setting?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.

Hi Ron No I do not have a code reader that would read suspension system codes.

If you can get access to one and get the fault code and or codes it would go a long ways towards finding the problem and getting it resolved.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.

I will probably have to take it to a dealer to get the code read and the springs are completely down now so my envoy is very low and riding on the jounce rubbers.

Any automotive shop can scan the system for you as well as your dealer.

I know but that`s 10 miles over rough roads . Is there anyway to pressurize the system using the tire inflation valve in the hatch.

Ian
