I just bought a 2005 envoy and i was sitting at light it accelerated on its own
JA: Just to clarify, what are the exact lights you're talking about?
Customer: Traffic light
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I don't know what it is

Customer: Yea i had brake applied and the car was trying to go on it own rpms started rising im at work scared to drive home please help

If you can get the codes read from the engine that would help but i would suspect that you got either a throttle body problem or an air leak. I would first check if your intake bolts are tight, due to the intake being plastic they tend to loosen over time and will pull unmetered air and raise RPMS.
