Gmc Yukon XL 1500: . I know is an old topic, but I'm in

Customer Question

Hello. I know is an old topic, but I'm in so much trouble. I have a 2007 Yukon xl slt with the 6 disc non Bose hu. I had an aftermarket jvc hu installed together with an alpine amp back in 2012. Now, I bought a bose navi DVD player hu on ebay. It was locked, but had the dealer unlocked for me. Now, very low volume. I bought a pac os1 and pluged it in to factory harness, but no luck. Help please. I can hear my woofer working and some music, but no loud. Also, when I close my doors, I can hear it trough the woofer real loud.

Dealer should have told you.........You CANNOT install Bose Unit into "NON Bose" Vehicle, without installing the Bose Speakers, Harness & AMPThe Bose Unit can be Programmed & will work, but no or low sound, when there is NO Bose Components

I know you are an expert, but how come I have been reading about people doing it with the pac o1. I just don't know if I am hooking it ok. I even read a tread on this website, and that is how I got to ask in here. Otherwise I would not know of site.

Please understand......the OS1 is for Installing "Internally Amplified" Units like your JVCThe Factory Bose Unit is NOT Internally Amplified like your JVCThe Factory Bose Unit has to have a External Amplifier

sorry.............did you access & read the answers to those?like:http://www.justanswer.com/chevy/3wcfz-non-bose-vs-bose.htmlanswer was:I did some research and your radio is going to need an AMP to make this radio work with this vehicle setup. You may not be able to install a GM amp on this vehicle as these are typically in the center console and may have to go with an aftermarket one.alsohttp://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/gmt-900-trucks-general-discussion-188/installing-factory-navigation-non-bose-truck-482325/answer was:I know there is already post about this but I'm relaying my experience with the install. First there is 2 different kinds of nav units, DVD and non DVD. If you have the DVD nav you must have it programmed to send out a analog volume control instead of a digital. Ill explain, the DVD units send a digital signal to the Bose amp that controls the volume, without a Bose amp you need to have a analog signal. No matter which unit you have you need a external amp to your speakers, If you just have the unit dealer programmed (theft unlock)and no amp you will have a real low volume..I am GM Electronics for over 25 years & you have to have an AMP for the BoseYou can try "hard wiring a Aftermarket 4 Channel AMP or Install a Factory Bose AMP, but your vehicle has to have the Communication Module that will "PROGRAM" the Bose System.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
So, what you are saying is that even with the 4 channel amp or the Bose amp it will still not work.

So, what you are saying is that even with the 4 channel amp or the Bose amp it will still not work.???NO....I never posted thatMy last post was:You can try "hard wiring a Aftermarket 4 Channel AMP or Install a Factory Bose AMP, but your vehicle has to have the Communication Module that will "PROGRAM" the Bose SystemMeaning you can connect a Aftermarket AMP with the correct wiringORyou can install the Bose AMP, but you would need to have GM Dealer Program it thru the Communication Module, so the Bose Unit will recognize itThe issue you have now is there is NO Internal AMP in the Bose UnitIt would likely be less expensive to install a Aftermarket Navigation Unit, unless you are pressed for Factory.......
