GMC Yukon: I have an 05 Tahoe with the 5.3l engine that's running

Customer Question

I have an 05 Tahoe with the 5.3l engine that's running hot. I've had the heads surfaced and checked, and they tested good. Replaced head gaskets and intake gaskets, still run hot within 20 minutes of idling. New water pump and thermostat, no change. A/c fan works, but coolant fan doesn't, but has bn like that for a while but just started running hot. It gets hot to the point of pushing coolant back out of the coolant tank.

have you checked your radiator cap. if the cap is bad and not holding pressure it will allow the coolant to boil at a lower temperature causing air pockets. and reservoir overflow.
