I am sorry for the long wait

will reverse work ?

when in drive and it will not go forward is the drive shaft turning and the truck not moving ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
reverse works and drive shaft is moving. Truck is not
Expert:  Gary replied 1 year ago.

ok just to be clear the transmission is in drive and will not move and you see the rear driveshaft spinning but the truck will not move ?

is that correct ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
that's correct
Expert:  Gary replied 1 year ago.

if the drive shaft is moving to the rear axle and the truck is NOT moving something has failed inside of the rear diff/axle

like a pinion or ring gear or the spider gears

the rear axle cover needs to come off to see what has failed inside the rear axle

if that drive shaft is turning the problem is in the rear axle i am sorry to say

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
All of that has been replaced last week.

The ring gears were replaced last week the rest of it looks good
Expert:  Gary replied 1 year ago.

all of the rear axle was replaced and the rear drive shaft spins in drive and the truck does NOT move ?

if so something was replaced wrong or they missed something broken in the rear axle

broken or stripped axle shaft ect..if the rear axle was good when the drive shaft is turning the truck should move

since yo visually see the drive shaft turning and the truck is NOT moving there is something still wrong in the rear axle

it can be nothing else causing this issue

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok looks like it's going back to the shop thanks
Expert:  Gary replied 1 year ago.

anytime

you do understand what i am saying correct ? that if the rear drive shaft is spinning when in drive and the truck is NOT moving the only reason it is not moving is because the spinning drive shaft power is not making it to the rear wheels to move the truck
