GMC Troubleshooting Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers
Hello, my name is***** for the question. It sound like a voltage issue. Typically this will occur if there is a bad connection at the battery or if the battery is failing. I would check this first.
I will check that and let you know. Will be tomorrow. Car not here right now
No problem. Just let me know when you can.
Put a voltage test on it...12.5 but when we put the trickle charger on it, it needs a charge (not fully charged) so we will see what it does in a couple hours. Thanks for checking back.
Fully charged battery. Drove 6 miles, got groceries then drove 6 miles back. Had full cold AC.Car sat for approx 15 min then had BARELY cool air.
Did you happen to check the voltage again afterwards to see if it dropped off again?
No, but i did have the battery checked and it is fine.
Thanks. One question. When the air stops working does the fan and the control unit shut off or does it just blow hot air?
Blows hot air.
Thank you. It may have a loose ground connection issue. This is where I would direct you to next. Did you plan on going through these yourself?
