has it always done this for you ? how long have you owned it ?
I have owned it 1 year has always done this sometimes worse than others can tap brakes to unlock conv several times somtimes that makes it better how can I disable tcc perm
due to the computer controls the complete transmission there is no way to disable the TCC .BUT you can have done to the truck to correct this issue.first off it being a 2002 there have been updated computer calibrations to correct TCC business with it locking up too early or too late and causing this problem.have the computer reprogramed with updated calibrations should correct your problem.any shop with programing capabilities can perform this for you.the updated calibrations will change the TCC lock up speeds and should make this truck stop doing that for you
it locks up above 45 but even at 60 it contenues to cycle rapidly in and out
ok.if thats cycling out at 60 MPH while driving steady then there is a problem with the convertor its self or the TCC lock up solenoid inside the transmission.usually if they are kicking out 55 is or hunting in and out @ that speed reprograming should solve that problem if your at 60 it should be driven with a scan tool and see if the TCC is being told to unlock or its unlocking by itself internally
