The park assist will automatically turn off when a hitch is installed. This is because there is no danger of backing into something if you're towing a boat or trailer. Do you have a hitch installed?

Do you have the liftgate open. Sometimes the sensors will pickup an open liftgate and cause the alarm to go off. If not, there is a problem in the system which will require further diagnosis. The first thing would be to install a scanner to check what diagnostic trouble code is stored in the park assist module.
