2001 gmc Sierra 4.8 engine. Check engine light is on , Code PO446 . Is there anything common on these truck to have this code on.

Yes this is almost always dirt or ice in the vent valve. On your truck it is under the fuel filler area.

Gm Tech (Cam) :

THey get dirt in there and that plugs the canister infront of the tank .

Cam i took hose off of canister and blew air back threw it . do you think this will work?

YOu need to plug one small, blow back through the other smaller and out the large hose.

Should i blow threw small lines too? I could feel air coming out at vend valve.

Only blow through the smaller lines to push the dirt back out the large line.
