Customer Question

The remote keyless entry handheld remote doesn't work, and can't be programed.
JA: Have you checked the fob's battery?
Customer: Yes and have re-palced with new line.
JA: What is the model/year of your GM?
Customer: 2002
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes and have had zero luck, I understand that the module is located as part off the rear window wiper motor.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: When I attempt to program the remote using the door lock and unlock button, I get the program signal but will not program. The hand held remotes remain silent.

Customer: replied 7 days ago.
I have done everything except remove the module, only since I don't know where it is located. I've had it to a dealer but they gave up short of replacement. Cost was not SN option
Expert:  Marvin the Mechanic replied 7 days ago.

Are you using a scan tool to program the remotes?

Expert:  Marvin the Mechanic replied 7 days ago.

Are the used remotes from this vehicle?
