I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500. I am getting the U1016

Customer Question

I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500. I am getting the U1016 code and my trans seems to be shifting poorly
JA: How old is the transmission? Have you noticed any leaking?
Customer: the trans is stock 2002 and I haven't seen any measureable leaking
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I am. I am s=jst getting started. I did put in a quart of tranny fluid, but that is it.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Not really
