cluster is messed up?

does the gear indicator PRND321 light up?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
No shows nothing until I've bang on the dash and even then it still doesn't shift properly.
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
It only shift down into first manually
Expert:  tim's auto repair replied 9 months ago.

ok.

you certainly do need to replace the instrument cluster,,these were known to go bad like this.

also, you may need to replace he ignition switch, the electrical switch itself.

i think the reason the transmission isnt shifting is because it isnt getting power t the transmission,,the ignition switch can cause the cluster and the transmission not to work, though,i think your cluster may also be bad sense it will work by jarring it

thanks
