My 2006 GMC YuKon Denali XL will not start because I can't

Customer Question

My 2006 GMC YuKon Denali XL will not start because I can't put it in park. The column shifter is loose to say the least. When I put it up it falls down.

can you get under the drivers side of the transmission and make sure the shift cable is still connected to the transmission little shift arm ?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Can you send me a picture of what that looks like?

Expert:  Gary replied 1 year ago.
sure thingmost of the time the cable has just popped off the ball on the shift lever at the transmission and you can pop it back on with a pair of pliers
