My 2001 Yukon oil gauge is saying at startup sometimes that there is no oil pressure. If i punch the accelerator it will kick in and move up. I know there are issues with the panel but does that sound typical of the issue of the instrument cluster or sending unit or does it sound more like an oil pump
Country: CanadaMake: GMModel: Yukon xltYear: 2001Engine: 327 Already Tried: Took to mechanic they didnt want to pull sending unit and put master gauge on it. They want to check with GM but i am needing vehichle repaired quicker
Hello! Welcome to justanswer! At idle when the gauge reads 0, does the engine rattle?
i have not let it run long enough to find out. It is an intermittent problem sometimes it happens sometimes it does not. It happens more often if we do not use the vehichle for a few days
If you start it now, does it run ok?
yes it runs very well the engine however has about 325,000km on it
I am leaving work in about 10 to 15 minutes is there a problem with my response?
i will check email when i get home
Sorry for the delay...Ok, so you have driven it for a while like this?
not very long it only does it at start up and for about a month we drive it 2-3 times a week
The gauge is wrong. The engine is ok. Otherwise it would cease to operate if the gauge readings were correct.
