I have an 02 envoy with the same sounding problem. I currently is at the dealer and the changed the ac cycling switch and checked freon servicing. I drove it less than 10 miles and it started blowing hot air. Now the called me saying its a radiator, clutch fan and thermostat. I feel they are just throwing parts at it. Is there a thermostat besides the one in the block that i don't know of? I feel it must be an electrical switch, would the compressor work for a short period of time then quit due to over heat?? HELP

no there is just that one thermostsat.if the A/C condensor is not cooled enough the refrigerent pressure will rise on the high side and the high side switch will shut off the compressor untill the pressure drops down enough to re engauge the compressor.if the fan is NOT drawing enough air threw the condensor and the radiator in front of the truck and will cause this
