Customer Question

I have an 05 GMC Envoy. The back seat radio and heater control works fine but the incadensant light bulbs are burnt out. I took the module apart and there are two 1/4 turn bulb and sockets to replace. The problem is nobody sells just the bulbs as a seperate item you have to replace the whole module. I was wondering if anybody knows what the correct milli amp ratings for these bulbs? I am sure I can find the correct ones on line once I know the specs.

I also have 04 Silverado with 5.3 liter engine that has just radio control module in the rear seat that works fine but a couple of the bulbs are burnt out. This module has five bulbs 3 of one size and 2 of a different size. This is in pyscial size may be the same in ma and voltage ratings. these bulbs are soldered to the board. I would solder in new bulbs if I could get the correct specs of the bulbs. Again same problem GM wants to sell me the whole module for $300.

Any information on these items would be greatly appreciated.

Optional Information:
Year: 2005
Make : GMC
Model: SLT
Engine: 4.2 liter

Already Tried:
I have tried all the GM dealers and nobody knows the bulb specs. They just what to sell a new control module for about $300. If I knew who makes the board for GM, would help. I tried to contact GM about the board manufacturer and GM wouldn't tell me this info.

Theres the bulbs for that. I will look for the ones for the other truck.

Customer replied 288 days and 20 hours ago.

These are the bulbs I put in the main front heater control. They don't look the same for the back heater control. These are a 1/4 twist bulb with holder. Even if I tried to reuse the holder this bulb wouldn't fit into this holder. Is this the correct specs for the bulbs for the rear controller? I could try to find a bulb with these specs that would fit into the current holder. I can also send you some pictures of my bulbs if you give me your email address.

No I didn't. My GM parts guy was looking in to it but I never got a call back and forgot about it myself. It was a busy day. I will call him first thing in the morning. I got an idea of one that will work good but I need measurements from it and yours before I know for sure. I would imagine he will have measurements off of his in the morning. If you could in the meantime give me the overall length of yours. Thanks

Customer replied 287 days and 11 hours ago.

overall length with socket for the Envoy is .500" and the diameter of the bulb is .164".

On the Silverado board the 3 bigger bulbs measure .364" in length and .160" in diameter. The two smaller bulbs measure .308" in length and .150" in diameter.

My feedback isn't toward you. I keep getting all these feedback requests that I must fill out from just answer and my question isn't even answered. Kavey I know you are trying to help me and I am grateful for your time and you have been a pleasure to work with. I just wish they would stop asking for feedback until we come up with an answer to my question. The second thing is my account wasn't suppose to get charged right away until my question has been answered. I hope you didn't blamed for the bad feedback, that wasn't my intention at all. I hope you can find out the information that will help me repair my control modules. ,

Well. That is rather annoying I am sure. If I can come up with an answer which I will eventually you can always change it to a positive.
As far as the charge they take a deposit but it is not used towards anything until you are satisfied with your answer. You can ask for the deposit back at any time.
As far as these bulbs I am going to be doing some more research tonight. I will opt out in the meantime and see if someone else can come up with something.
Either way good luck and I hope we can get it figured out.
Thanks

I have not received an answer. If you can find someone who can give me some info on these bulbs would be great. I have found information on the Silverado on my own but still have not found out anything on the GMC Envoy.

I didn't get an answer to my question. I am exploring other options for my answer now. I would like to get my money back because of my question not being answered.

thanks
