Typically the Unit will need to be Repaired, Replaced or Exchanged
The Logic Circuit & / or CD Mechanism goes bad
Repair est $ 285.00 - 365.00 depending on shop & parts
Many times you can find the same Model Unit On-Line, E-Bay, etc. for less than Repair, "but" if you replace the Unit with same, you will need Dealer to Program New Unit
apprx 1 hour labor

You can try a Reset by
Remove Unit
Disconnect completely for 5 minutes

Reconnect
Wait apprx 30 seconds for Unit to Initialize
Turn Key On
Press Eject

if you need further, let me know

I tried what you suuggested. Now it does not say "disk error', it says "no disk loaded' when it is turned on. When press the load buttonit says "loading" and shows 1 and about four dashes, like it wants to load but cannot. When I try t insert a disk something is blocking its insertion. How do I remove the unit or otherwise get to the load mechansm? I appreciate your information and I will click ACCEPT asap;. thanks Waynrr
