I have a 2010 GMC Sierra 2500HD CC SLE with Duramax/Allison combo and Z92 package. Trying to figure out how big of a 5th wheel I can tow. I can not find what the GCWR is for this vehicle. My wife and I looked at one that has a dry weight of 10900 lbs...... I'm concerned that the 9200 GVWR is not enough. Any thoughts on if can handle, and if any special requirements needed; air bags, special pin, etc.. Thank you

I actually know the GVWR(9200#). I don't know the GCWR. My vin# XX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Does htis truck have a long bed?

The bed is 6.5'..... not sure what that is.

That woudl be a long bed.

The max towing capasity for this vehical is 13000 lbs.

That woudl be with a 5th wheel trailer. If you are pulling a regualr trailer with the bumper the max weight is 9600 lbs.

Do you know what the "Gross Combination Weight Rate(GCWR) is? - which is need to calculate what my vehicle can tow taking into account the GVWR which is 9200#.

Does the Z92 package change anything? The tires are LT305/55R20

If you where to add air springs and a bigger tranmission cool you can handle a little bit more. And no the Z92 package is just an upgrade to the body and interior for better looks.

At any rate, I woudl strongly suggest adding the exra trans cooler to this truck if you are going to be towing with it just as extra insurance that the trasnmission stays cool. A cooler trasnmission lasts twice as long.

Do you happen to know the Gross Combination Weight(GCW) for this truck? Last question

the gcvw is 20500

Sorry it took so long to find it. It is not very often i get asked for the gcvw

And I have to appologize the info is off. The 20500 is if you had the 6.0, but you have the 6.6 so the gcvw is 24500.
