have a 2003 chev 1500 4x4 5.3 4l60e. tranny starts out in 2nd gear no matter where selector is,shifts from 2nd to third,than doesnt shift to 4th. this happened all of a sudden DTC says it is shift solenoid A,i know i can drop the pan and replace solenoid easily,but should internal wire harness be replaced also?would any exterior wireing be the problem or is it typicaly the shift solenoid? tranny was rebuilt 20,000 miles ago. trying to fix on super tight budget

unplugging trans wire connections,cleaning and drying connections,used superchips programmer to get DTC
