Hello,I will be glad to try and assist you with this,Welcome to Just Answer.

Hi.

You can disable the On Star system by pulling the fuse labeled INFO which is a 15 amp fuse located in the under hood fuse box.

This fuse powers the VCIM (vehicle communications interface module) which is the On Star control unit.

dont mean to bother u anymore just tryin to make sure that the onstar system is the only type of gps device gmc had on their sierras

O.k.

The On star control unit (VCIM) is the only unit that receives the GPS signal. If the On star unit is disabled then the gps signal would be disabled as well.

This will also disable any cell phone you have tied into the vehicle.
