I have a 2002 GMC Saffari 4.3L V-6. I am getting error codes that state the Fuel is running Too Rich, and the catalytic converter is not running efficently. The Van feels like it is running "too well" sometimes. Also, it is hard to start on damp and cold morning. Any causes or possible fixes? Thank You

do you know the exact code numbers in the computer?
one is P0175. The 2nd code for the Cat I don't have. I erased it this morning to see if it will come back for inspection. The Check engine light was coming on and turning off at some points.
was it a 420 ?
yes P0420 was the 2nd. Also, we actually pulled 4 codes in total, each type with Bank 1 and Bank 2 at the bottom.
ok first thing you have to do is fix that 420 code.all those other codes can be set due to the 420 code.the 420 code is going to be a bad catalytic converter you need to replace the catalytic converter and then clear the codes and drive it and see if any of those other codes come back
So the running rich issue would be caused by the bad catalytic converter? We just had it replaced about 3 months ago so we are wondering if there is comething else causing the catalytic converter to go bad.
there very well could be but the problem we have now is with a bad cat any tests we do with O2 reading will not be right until that cat is replaced.
Do you have any replacement guides that you can offer to help me replace the cat? I have not done one of those yet. Thanks
the cat is part of the front pipe assembly.keep in mind that some of the O2 sensors may be frozen in the old cat if so you will need to replace the ones that are frozen.it is a bolt up cat here is a picture of it
