HelloCustomer are you talking about the bell for the seat belt?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

no it is the warning bell for everything like when you put the key in or open the door, etc.

It goes thru the stereo and comes out the speakers.

I do alot of hooking and unhooking pulling boats and campers and it drives me crazy everytime I open a door or get out of the truck.

I have the radio out of the truck right now and have looked for some kind of module with no luck.

thanks, al

Okay. This chime is set off by several different systems in the vehicle. The signal is sent to the radio or the amplifier depending on if your vehicle is equipped with an apm from the factory. You can attempt to cut these wires but I do not recommend it.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

I'll cut the wires.

how do I disable the chime/bell ?

thanks,

al

Do you know if you have the radio system with the amplifier?

Expert:  FIXITMAN replied 6 years ago.
Okay. Is your vehicle equipped with the Bose radio? If it has the amplifier it will be located under the center console.

Hello, I'm Cam. Please include all the details about your issue so I can accurately advise you. I cannot see your vehicle so please be detailed.
The warnings are a system sound so it goes through the radio. The system sends a chime request to the radio and it then makes the noise on the left front speaker. TO disable it you would need to change the radio to an aftermarket one or disconnect the left speaker. There is no way Gm can program out the chime feature as it is a safety feature.

Yes, my answer remains exactly the same as it is the same system.
