Seems to be running fine but drinking gas. Check engine light is on.

Okay. THe solenoid is located on the front of the engine as shown in the picture below. First you need to remove the site shield. Once you locate the solenoid you can remove the quick connection lines from it by pressing on the tabs and pulling the lines from the solenoid.

Thanks for your help!! With this code (P0496), would you say that replacing the purge solenoid will remedy the problem?

Yes, most of the time it is a problem with this valve. Also check the lines going to the solenoid to make sure that there are no kinks are bad connections.
