Customer Question

my wife's 2004 GMC Envoy suddenly had water leaking into the front passenger side of the cabin.
the carpet was very wet. the items in the glove box were damp (splatter??) but not wet.
this only occurs when it rains and only in the last week.

where could the leak be coming from & how can i repair this.

Hello <a href="http://www.justanswer.com/profile.aspx?PF=25172488&FID=111"Customer

Water leaks are no fun to find the leaks. You are going to have to run water over the vehicle and watch on where its coming in at. Could be the windshild seal leaking or the blower case getting water in it or a leak out if the right front pillar by the windshild. If there is a sunroof, it could be running down from there. Pull the trim piece off on the passenger side by the windshild and have someone spray water around it while you are on the inside watching on where the water is coming from.If its leaking from the blower motor or the blower case, the seal could be off under the wiper cowl. The windshild seal can leak and run down the side or the fire wall. Here is a bulletin GM has out for other problems.
