We have a 2006 Envoy XL that has an intermitent problem with the head light low beams. 3 times the low beams have not come on when starting the car at night with the switch in the Auto position. using the switch will not turn on the low beams. The hi beams will work however. Also twice while driving the low beams have gone off. Both times there was an audible click when the low beams went off. Again the hi beams would work. In each case the low beams would work the next morning when the sun was bright enough to have the automatic sensor keep the lights from coming on while the light switch in the Auto position. There are no blown fuses and Hi Beam Relay is OK. Is there a possible problem with the solid state headlamp driver module? Thanks for the help. Jim
Year: 2006Make: GMCModel: Envoy XLEngine: L6 Already Tried: Checked bulbs, headlamp fuses, all fuses, hi beam relay and headlamp switch. The headlamp driver module is solid state, but removing it when the low beams are working does not make them go out.
