Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement

Removal Procedure
Object Number: 346858 Size: SH

  1. Pull the molding straight out in order to release the retainers.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Remove the windshield garnish molding






The dash pad comes off by removing the end trim plates on both sides, There are 2 screws that have to be removed once there plates are off. The trim bezel around the insterment cluster somes off next, tilt the steering wheel all the way down, put the shifter in to low gear and pull off the trim bezel. There are a few 7mm screws that now need to be removed. Next, remove both a/c vents on the passengers side, they just pop out. Remove the screws inside the vent holes. The pull handle now comes off, there are push release tabs on the inside of the vent holes that release the handle. The dash pad can now be removed, becarful and remove the dash sensor in the middle of the dash.

Removed the two white c clips, but is still mounted solidly.

To remove the moldings on the A-pillars, pull at the top of the pillar towards you. The retainers are at the top part of the trim. There should be a metal retainer holding the trim to the truck. After you get the upper part loose, the lower part pulss up to get past the dash. Make sure you unplug the speaker before pulling up on the trim.
