I have contacted the church in Germany where both my grandparents are buried. I have requested the church to search their records and let me know who else is buried in my grandparents grave. They have sent me photos of the grave stone which gives the family name only. There are no first names or dates on the grave stone. The church has not responded to my request to search their records. I remember from when I was a child that I had an uncle that died in 1968/1969. I remember that he was a serial killer and a phedophile. I was abused by him. My mother tells me that I am imagining things. My aunt looks after the grave in Germany and I suspect she has given the church instructions not to give me any details about him. My question is: do I have any legal right to know who is buried in the family grave? Will a solicitor be able to help me obtain the information I require from the church? To be abused by a man (I remember that I was raped by him) and not to know who he was is difficult to live with. Mrs Nicholls. I live in England.
