I am a property owner in German and have a question regarding the boundary laws.I have lived at the house for 10years and the previous family for 5years, these people establised boundaries and the trees are now 6 metres high, behind the trees is a village pond. The house was built in 1920.It has now been established that the garden of the house belongs to the neighbour! When we purchased the house it did mention in the sales contract that the borders of the garden in line with the trees were not a true representation of the original bourders. The main problem is the new boarder lines run over the terrasse and also end at a point only 40cm away from the house wall. The complete new line of boarder is no more that about 2meteres away from my windows and house walls.Do i have any rights to go against the findings??? is there a required amount of space between house and boundary points?I have been informed the boundary points were established in 1873 and then again in1911. The house was built after this and built only 40cm away from the boundry line, i am worried I may have knock half of the house down!! please can you help??Best RegardsRichard Bosworth
