Hello. I was informed that I am in the process of getting a written warning at work yesterday. I missed work on 29th May. I rang my supervisor on 28th at 8pm and there was no answer. I then sent a txt message explaining how I couldn't make it to work. I recieved a verbal warning in late 2010 for missing a day due to my admitted irresponsible behavour, by my previous manager. Does this verbal warning stay on my permanent record indefenitely, and can i get a written warning for being late even if the situation is not similiar?
I have apologised to my manager/supervisor and told him it couldn't be helped.

Dear Customer, thank you for using Just Answer. The written warning stays in your personnel records. Sometimes firms have the policy that these written warnings are removed after a certain amount of time. You should make enquiries whether there is a company agreement. You should give your explanation in written form and ask for the written warning to be removed from your personnel records Written warnungs are given for not acting accoding to the working- contract which in most cases has the clause that if you cannot make it to work v´because you are illl you have to inform you company immdediately.
I need to know how long a verbal warning lasts for?
Also if the verbal warning is for being late, can I recieve a written warning for missing work and informing my supervisor 12hrs beforehand. This is a completely different situation.
Dear Customer,if the warning was just a verbal one and if it was not connected with the threat that should you do something lile that again you will be dismissed, its is harmless and has no consequences. It is a Ermahnung which other than the Abmahnung does not have any consequences. If you have received a Ermahnung you cannot receive a Abmahnung for the same thing. If it was not the same thing you can still get a Abmahnung. If your question is answered please click acceptthank you
