Customer Question

I have nearly 200 Zane Grey books. Some are first edition in dust jackets. One is signed by the author. What would be the first step if I wanted to sell them? Does it make a difference as to who the publisher is?
I am a real novice at this so any help would be appreciated.

Hello Alice,

Zane Gray continues to be a popular author with the reading public.

As for first editions that can offer you money in selling them, some suggestions:

1. Start by researching what titles would offer the best pricing. The website "Abebooks" offers an easy online searchable database that can give you an estimate on what a certain title would be worth on the market:

2. Comparing pricing on sites can also be done with this link as well as tips for pricing:

3. In terms of Zane Gray, read the informative write-up offered by the society in this link:

4. After deciding on pricing and what books could be worth something, consider checking with a local independent bookstore in your area. Also consider looking at online sites such as Ebay to sell. Finally, any antique shop may consider purchasing copies from you.

I hope the information provided will be found helpful in deciding on pricing and what books to sell. Please let me know of any question you may have and if you could take a moment to rate my assistance so that I know my help was useful and allow me to receive credit for assisting you today.

Take care,
