How do jelly fish get it on?
Hello and thank you for using Just Answer. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be happy to assist you.

I am not sure if it counts as "getting it on" but jellyfish reproduce in a couple of ways.

Adults release sperm and eggs into the surrounding water, where the (unprotected) eggs are fertilized and mature into new organisms.

But in some species on jelly fish, the sperm swim into the female's mouth fertilizing the eggs within the female's body where they remain during early development stages. In moon jellies for example, the eggs will lodge in pits on the oral arms, which form a temporary brood chamber for the developing larvae.
