Thank you! This is like finding a needle in a haystack. It is a tight knit tourist town.
I know this a hard one. It has to be in Port Aransas ONLY not surrounding areas. I need to continue to live in this part of the island. You can look it up on google.maps.com and put in Port Aransas, TX 78373 and see exactly where I am talking about about. It has a population of just under 3500 people. If you can find me a place I am willing to give a considerable bonus.
I found one that is for sale or long term rental only. You can view the page here: http://www.trulia.com/property/3101186594-1701-Palisades-Dr-Port-Aransas-TX-78373
This is from the advertisement:
"Walk to beach on protected sidewalk or lounge by your pool - less than 500' from the gulf of Mexico. In town and close to all that Port A has to offer. Excellent value in this 5 bedroom, 3 and 1/2 bath home. Solid construction in very nice neighborhood. Awesome sunsets. Long term rentals only. Unfurnished. Large master bedroom and bath down".
Since it is also for sale you may be able to negotiate price on this property.
I will continue to look for you. They did state long term rental, but I suspected that it may have been too big for you. Hopefully we can find something for you. Joan
I found these Houses and Condos for sale: http://www.homes.com/Real_Estate/TX/City/PORT%20ARANSAS/ Many of them would have a cheaper mortgage than if you were to rent. This is one that caught my eye that seemed reasonably priced in comparison to what the season rentals are: http://www.homes.com/listing/174438738/4901_St_Hwy_361_115_PORT_ARANSAS_TX_78373
It is less a month than most rentals are per day. Please let me know if this is the right track.
I will continue to monitor the homes and see what I can find. I understand the situration and I have found that area is hard to pin something down, because of it being a beautiful tourist area and the people that do own the homes had done it for rental investment. Thank-you for the accept and generous bonus. If I do find something I will post to this thread as a follow up to you and you will be notified. I hope all works out and you have a happy New Year.
