Where are the best locations to hang crystals from an overhead

This answer was rated:

Where are the best locations to hang crystals from an overhead beam so as to reduce the poor Fung Shui? Every two feet, every four? How long should the thread be? For that matter, how many crystals?
In addition I have learned that two bamboo flutes can be hung as well, and for the same purpose. Where is the best locations on the beam for these flutes. At the very ends, where it enters the wall, or at other locations along it's length?
I have looked at the Fung Shui sites on the Internet and there are no specific answers to the solutions that they give for this problem. I am moving into another apartment next week and need to learn what to do before I commit. There are other available apartments, but not so nice as this one. That overhead beam is the only trouble.
Hello, Thank you for using this service. I wish to introduce myself. I am a Research Librarian with 20+ years of experience.

I have researched using various books on the subject of beams in a bedroom and how to achieve better Feng Shui. Here are some suggestions given to correct the problem:

1. It was recommended that you should hang two to three crystals underneath the beam. In terms of length, it is the best in terms to stagger the length equally along the beam.

2. Besides crystals, you should also paint the beams the same color as the ceiling. If the beam is in the bedroom, then a canopy was recommended. Also silk flowers over beams can soften the pressure.

Everything I have seen online seems to have the crystals in the center of the beam. Here is a picture of one that is centered: http://www.fengshuidana.com/2012/11/20/feng-shui-q-a-homes-with-exposed-ceiling-beams/

3. As for bamboo flutes, hang bamboo flutes 2-3 inches below the beam. Hang the flutes vertically, with the mouthpiece up, or at 45-degree angles, representing the octagonal shape of the bagua, at each end of the beam.

Here is a diagram of how the beams can be corrected as hanging the bamboo at certain angles mean various things: https://www.naturesforyou.com/shoppingcart/pages/Bamboo-Flutes.html

Thank you very much for your specific answers to my questions. I guess I'd want to learn how to order bamboo flutes, can you suggest where to go to order them?

I would first check in your local area for places that sell materials for Feng Shui as you could then look over the bamboo flute to see it's quality. Start by using the yellow pages directory online: http://www.yellowpages.com/

As for purchasing online, here are some links for you to decide on in terms of quality. Sites like Amazon and
EBay offer bamboo flutes at reasonable prices.
