Hello, Susan and welcome back to Just Answer! My name is XXXXX XXXXX it will be my pleasure to assist you.If all the points seats are taken on a particular flight or flights you are considering to India, can you change your dates and find a flight with available points seats? That would be my first recommendation. If that doesn't work out, I think using your points for vacation packages is an excellent idea! If you're looking to take a vacation, go to their website to find out what flights and/or vacation packages are available to all the places of interest you would consider visiting, then book your vacation.https://www1.aeroplan.com/use_your_miles/travel/vacation_packages.doYou can also redeem your points for merchandise and gift cards:https://www1.aeroplan.com/UseYourMiles.doI hope you enjoy whatever you decide to spend your points on!
Yes, those solutions are obvious. No other dates are available for India within the window we have. The question about the vacation packages, is it a worthwhile use of the points? Cost effective compared to straight air travel?
We really only want to go to India. We have Dec 20- Jan 9 off. My husband is 6'5" tall and large, so he needs business class seats.
Alternative vacations would involve scuba diving in the Caribbean and staying in a quiet, smaller place.
Hi, Cher. I didn't find your advice particularly useful, since I had already thought of those points and can find cheap vacation websites myself. Also you made an error in your reply regarding:$1,400.00 for 170,000 points. This did not impress me with your accuracy. Perhaps it was the fault of my question, which, in retrospect seems silly.
