All,

Need citations for this: "Studies have demonstrated that energy efficient buildings command higher asset values when sold. Other studies have shown that tenants are more satisfied with more efficient buildings."
Hi Bob, and welcome back to Just Answer.

After checking various reports at the first link above, the quotation you included was not found, but if you check each one, you might come upon it.

Cher,

Sorry for misleading you. When I gave you the citation I didn't mean I meant to find the report in which the quote came, but meant to use it as an illustration of a concept regarding making energy efficiency improvements and increasing property value. My error. Does that open more doors for you?

Thanks, Bob

Hi again, Bob and thanks for your reply and clarification.

I'm going to make your question available to all experts at this time.

I wish you much good luck!

Best regards,
Cher
Hello! Thank you for using this service. I wish to introduce myself. I am a Research Librarian with 13 years of experience.

Hi, Bob.

A survey (Do Green Buildings Make Dollars and Sense?) from CB Richard Ellis (CBRE), University of San Diego, and McGraw-Hill Construction found in 2010 that owners saw added value for green buildings (adding 4 percent on ROI and 5 percent in building value) and tenants saw more satisfaction and increased productivity.

The survey has been updated and here is the link to the a powerpoint presentation of the 2011 data from the 2012 Building Energy Summit:

Is this what you are looking for?

Hello Susan,

Yes, this is a good start. I was aware of Innovest data on the subject and this supplements it. Thanks very much.

P.S. I am trying this service and entirely sure how to interact with each expert and when to say I really wanted more. Interesting learning experience.

You're welcome, Bob. Experts welcome feedback on how relevant the information provided is. Especially if it is not quite what you are looking for. That way we can look for more resources or perhaps opt out for other expert opinion.

I was also going to mention these resources, if you don't already have them.
