I am considering a job as a hospital executive in Egypt. Will I need personal protection, a bodygard, close protection or any such security.

Hello. I can assist you with your question.

Are you from the United States?

I can answer your question, but the first thing I would recommend, if you are going there from the US, is enrolling in the government's Smart Traveler Enrollment Program with the Sate Department

To be clear - this is just my opinion based on the information available. Obviously, if you end up deciding to move there, you should get a second opinion from someone who specializes in personal protection.

The risks you encounter in Egypt are not generally something that would be mitigated by personal protection. They are related to terrorism and large events such as sporting events.

And there are restricted areas that should be avoided.

I will give you the direct link to the US State Department page regarding Egypt. I suggest you read this thoroughly as it outlines all known risks to US Citizens.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
