FitnessSpecialist :

Hi there are you available?

FitnessSpecialist :

Its Mike, I helped you with your business plan question and your business card purchasing.

FitnessSpecialist :

How is everything?

FitnessSpecialist :

Are you with me?

Customer: Yes
FitnessSpecialist :

Its Mike, I helped you with the business plan questions you had

FitnessSpecialist :

How is everything?

Customer: I remember u mike
Customer: Fine thank you. Hope ur good too
FitnessSpecialist :

Everything is good :)

FitnessSpecialist :

So what do you think you will be buying from the online wholesalers?

Customer: Kiddies books, DVD ,
Customer: Women stuff, clothing etc, household, designer stuff
FitnessSpecialist :

ah ok

Customer: Toys
FitnessSpecialist :

will you be shipping them anywhere particular?

Customer: Yes to new york
FitnessSpecialist :

ahh ok that helps

Customer: Ok
FitnessSpecialist :

Well depending on the part of NY, BJs and Sam's club are very common on the western side of upstate NY

FitnessSpecialist :

downstate, near NYC costco are more common

FitnessSpecialist :

so if it was an issue, you could return to store in many cases

FitnessSpecialist :

because of this I would base it off of that

FitnessSpecialist :

I have been to all 3 stores myself

FitnessSpecialist :

pricing of all these items are all great, and if you totaled up the same items, they would probably be within a dollar or 2 of each other

FitnessSpecialist :

just keeping in mind that each store carries a few different brands as well as the "Main" popular brands of items

FitnessSpecialist :

designer stuff is probably going to be limited, aside from some possible colognes or perfumes

Customer: The address is Jamaica
Customer: Ok mike I understand
Customer: So for kiddies books, educational stuff etc.....which would u advice
FitnessSpecialist :

Well i will give you one more thing to consider

FitnessSpecialist :

Amazon.com

FitnessSpecialist :

and consider becoming a prime member

FitnessSpecialist :

Amazon has some AMAZING deals on some items, they basically compile all the best prices from hundreds of vendors and price them out

FitnessSpecialist :

the items that are on prime actually have free 2 day shipping

Customer: But amazon is not wholesale
Customer: .?
FitnessSpecialist :

right not in a unit of volume, as in purchasing multiple items, but the cost on some of the items is low enough that they would actually beat a bulk order

FitnessSpecialist :

for example

FitnessSpecialist :

lets just use laundry detergent as an example

FitnessSpecialist :

most wholesale costs are roughly 25-35 percent off of regular pricing

FitnessSpecialist :

on amazon i saw a 4 pack of 64oz Era

FitnessSpecialist :

for 14 dollars shipped

FitnessSpecialist :

at BJs, sams or costco, that would have been probably twice that

Customer: Hmmmmm
FitnessSpecialist :

to be brutally honest

FitnessSpecialist :

you dont HAVE TO be a prime member

FitnessSpecialist :

BUT

FitnessSpecialist :

if the address is jamaica

Customer: Really? I do shop from amazon and am in d prime stuff.
Customer: Dint know it was that good
FitnessSpecialist :

i think costco would be the smarter choice - but then you could "shop around" using amazon

FitnessSpecialist :

prime actually just gives perks, like access to other specials, free 2 day shipping on all prime items

FitnessSpecialist :

its really nice

FitnessSpecialist :

i have a couple close friends that absolutely love it

Customer: So the prime shipment balances out the other costs if u urgently need the items.?
FitnessSpecialist :

well its just basically free shipping, with the benefit of it being 2 day shipping

FitnessSpecialist :

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=13819211

FitnessSpecialist :

take a look at that link

FitnessSpecialist :

if you are eligible, you can try a FREE membership too

FitnessSpecialist :

One of my friends even does his grocery shopping on prime

Customer: Pls resend link. Can't seem to b able to copy it
FitnessSpecialist :

try that, it should be clickable now

FitnessSpecialist :

I buy alot of wholesale stuff myself. If i had to do it all over again I would have gone with Costco

FitnessSpecialist :

ive used a ton of different wholesalers

Customer: I am on the prime stuff with amazon . So that is their membership right?
FitnessSpecialist :

yes it is

Customer: I recently paid that amount
Customer: Ok
FitnessSpecialist :

though amazon, like other places requires some searching

FitnessSpecialist :

what is the jamaica NY zip

Customer: 11434
FitnessSpecialist :

ok one sec let me have a look

Customer: Sure
FitnessSpecialist :

Alright I am going to stick with my original and say Costco here

FitnessSpecialist :

i did a quick search

Customer: Ha ha
FitnessSpecialist :

Sams has limited physical locations

Customer: Ok
FitnessSpecialist :

lol

FitnessSpecialist :

as if you had to return something

FitnessSpecialist :

i think costco, based on sheer volume will have better pricing on individual items

FitnessSpecialist :

i personally think the site is easier to navigate

Customer: Is Costco in that area
FitnessSpecialist :

yes there are many

FitnessSpecialist :

and many BJs wholesale

FitnessSpecialist :

but I think BJs has the edge in food items

FitnessSpecialist :

Costco on all other things

FitnessSpecialist :

It makes me wish there was a Costco closer, as the closest one to me is about an hour away

FitnessSpecialist :

and since you aren't buying food items

FitnessSpecialist :

and all the memberships are within 5 dollars of each other(50-55)

FitnessSpecialist :

Costco nationally does considerably more in sales too I believe

FitnessSpecialist :

so the prices should be lower as well

Customer: But I feel d site doesn't show all available products online? Or is it because am not yet a member? Or cus am checking it from outside
Customer: The US.
Customer: Am referring to Costco
FitnessSpecialist :

Well these stores are absolutely massive in size - so even BJs, Sam's, Costco may not have the same items in store as they have online and may not have the same things showing online as in the store

FitnessSpecialist :

there are just so many items in these places

FitnessSpecialist :

what are you looking at currently? I will look too

Customer: Kiddies books, on manners . Leapfrog DVD, toys
FitnessSpecialist :

ok let me try to find some kiddie books

FitnessSpecialist :

jsut give me a couple minutes, I will look on all 4 big places

Customer: Ok
Customer: There are also mannnnnnny types of Costco membership! Which is better? Since I will be buying a lot from there. Which has more benefits
FitnessSpecialist :

You are right on - costco is actually really limited now as to what they have online

FitnessSpecialist :

it used to be a huge selection

FitnessSpecialist :

i think this is probably a product of them wanting people to go into their stores

FitnessSpecialist :

in BJs I did a search

FitnessSpecialist :

books

FitnessSpecialist :

then children

FitnessSpecialist :

the second book called A Ball for Daisy by Chris Raschka

FitnessSpecialist :

is on amazon for slightly cheaper than BJs

FitnessSpecialist :

though in looking

FitnessSpecialist :

BJs seems to have better pricing on the first 10 results of books

FitnessSpecialist :

with the odd one being a bit moer expensive, but since the cheaper Amazon books are not prime and still eligible for super saver shipping

FitnessSpecialist :

it wouldnt matter

Customer: So u still for Costco?
FitnessSpecialist :

comparing similar books, by entering them individually, of the books I chose

FitnessSpecialist :

BJs has the cheaper price

FitnessSpecialist :

at this point I am going to say BJs, because after browsing costco, if you are strictly going to look online

FitnessSpecialist :

Costco simply doesn't have what they used to have online

FitnessSpecialist :

probably to get people in the store to purchase more

Customer: Yeah it's online purchases
FitnessSpecialist :

any particular subject of DVDs?

FitnessSpecialist :

just leapfrog?

Customer: Speech and language dev DVDs like bumblebee, leapfrog, your baby can read
FitnessSpecialist :

let me see who stocks these and compare

FitnessSpecialist :

one moment

Customer: Ok
FitnessSpecialist :

well some searching is bringing up mixed result

FitnessSpecialist :

i think this is because of them having physical locations

FitnessSpecialist :

BJS has the better selection of books

FitnessSpecialist :

for children

FitnessSpecialist :

amazon, as a supplement is able to list a lot of more toys, games, and development items

FitnessSpecialist :

BJs has a better online viewing selection of home and housewares it seems too

FitnessSpecialist :

its a shame, because in person Costco is a really nice place

FitnessSpecialist :

but since you are limited to viewing from your location

FitnessSpecialist :

- another reason why you should consider amazon shopping to supplement

FitnessSpecialist :

hundreds of stores, lots and lots of pricing

FitnessSpecialist :

at this point, with the items you have listed

FitnessSpecialist :

I would sign up online with BJs, and use Amazon as a supplement

Customer: I have visited Costco. I believe what your saying. But not visited bj or Sam club. Yes I intend using Amazon and any other one
Customer: And I guess I go for BJ
FitnessSpecialist :

I think that is a better option, too bad costco doesnt list more items

Customer: Yeah
Customer: Mike thanks alooooooooooooooot
Customer: U have been wonderful
FitnessSpecialist :

BJs is my own choice to shop at wholesale

FitnessSpecialist :

i used to use Sams club

FitnessSpecialist :

but when i moved BJs was the closest

Customer: Ok so it's really good
FitnessSpecialist :

oh yes its great - you can't beat wholesale pricing

Customer: There are two prices
FitnessSpecialist :

if i had costco that was close, because i could walk in - i would use that

Customer: 50 dollars and 100
FitnessSpecialist :

for memberships youre saying

Customer: Which is which
Customer: Yes membership at bj
FitnessSpecialist :

it looks liekt he 100 dollar one gives you a small percentage back to spend at the store

FitnessSpecialist :

the 50 dollar ones are personal and business(for resale)

FitnessSpecialist :

it says on the 50 dollar business one you have to visit the club to join

FitnessSpecialist :

probably to fill out business paperwork and do tax information

Customer: Ohhhh
FitnessSpecialist :

i think the only one that would fit you is the personal one

Customer: The 100?
FitnessSpecialist :

the business ones probably want to see tax documentation and other things

FitnessSpecialist :

well no i meant the personal one

FitnessSpecialist :

im just reading the small print on the 100 dollar membership

Customer: Am confused
FitnessSpecialist :

well the way the rewards works is you basically are paying more

FitnessSpecialist :

but every 6 months

FitnessSpecialist :

if you purchase enough

FitnessSpecialist :

you get a reward card with BJs only credit

FitnessSpecialist :

the catch is

FitnessSpecialist :

you would have to purchase quite a bit (at 2 percent) to get the extra cost of the membership back

FitnessSpecialist :

but it says on there

FitnessSpecialist :

you can join later, depending on when your membership expires

FitnessSpecialist :

and when you do join, it could be cheaper if you are nearing expiration of your membership

FitnessSpecialist :

I would start with the 50 dollar personal one

FitnessSpecialist :

if you are buying A LOT of stuff, then you can upgrade later in time, so you can earn BJs cash back

FitnessSpecialist :

because if you don't buy A LOT you are basically paying extra for nothing

Customer: Ok so am doing the inner circle
FitnessSpecialist :

I thinnk thats the one I have

FitnessSpecialist :

its very good

FitnessSpecialist :

and it says its 100 percent risk free - if you don't like it they give you your money back

Customer: Ok. Wiill do it
Customer: Where will my card be sent to?
Customer: My billing address?
FitnessSpecialist :

I think it might.

FitnessSpecialist :

though you could do it to the jamaica address

FitnessSpecialist :

if thats different

FitnessSpecialist :

i did mine in person at the store, so i had mine that day

Customer: Ok. My billing address is in bowling green KY.
Customer: Hope there is a BJ that side when I come over
FitnessSpecialist :

did it give you an option for shipping address

FitnessSpecialist :

i thought it was jamaica NY?

Customer: Jamaica is where my shippers are. For the items to be shipped out of the US
FitnessSpecialist :

OHHHH

Customer: Bowling green is home
FitnessSpecialist :

so where would you be shopping?

Customer: LoooooooooL
Customer: Thats y I will do most shopping online
Customer: I am not in the US now
FitnessSpecialist :

so really you wouldn't technically need a store anyway

FitnessSpecialist :

right?

Customer: Want to shop items and ship out
Customer: Yes
FitnessSpecialist :

got it

FitnessSpecialist :

ship to shipper so they can ship

FitnessSpecialist :

ok lol

FitnessSpecialist :

for whatever its worth

FitnessSpecialist :

they just took a quick picture on my card for BJs

FitnessSpecialist :

nothing else that would matter

FitnessSpecialist :

for as many online memberships as they have

FitnessSpecialist :

i cant imagine them needing a photo

FitnessSpecialist :

so it doesnt matter

Customer: Ok cus I can see where they said in the account profile info that I merge my card to my account
Customer: They require the card no
Customer: Is BJ in Kentucky ? Can u confirm pls
FitnessSpecialist :

Merge your credit card probably

FitnessSpecialist :

one moment

Customer: I meant membership card no
FitnessSpecialist :

i don't have an online account so I don't know that for certain

FitnessSpecialist :

there is not a BJs in kentucky

Customer: Is there one in maryland
Customer: Around silver spring
FitnessSpecialist :

checking

FitnessSpecialist :

one moment

FitnessSpecialist :

there are alot :)

FitnessSpecialist :

can you see those results?

Customer: Ahhhhhhhhhh
Customer: I just purchased
Customer: They said I need to come in for a picture
FitnessSpecialist :

oh man

FitnessSpecialist :

why dont we email customer service

FitnessSpecialist :

and explain the situation

FitnessSpecialist :

perhaps they can waive it

FitnessSpecialist :

shoot them a quick email there

Customer: Ok
FitnessSpecialist :

because if you think about it - i am sure there are elderly who can't leave their house

FitnessSpecialist :

who probably shop online

FitnessSpecialist :

well we went through quite a bit this time :)

FitnessSpecialist :

did i help with everything?

Customer: Ha ha
Customer: Yeah am sure some can't leave their homes
Customer: Ok
Customer: Email sent
Customer: Mike you have been wonderful
Customer: Let me let you attend to others
Customer: Thank you very much
FitnessSpecialist :

Its always an absolutely pleasure working with you

FitnessSpecialist :

make sure to request me when you have other questions - i think you and I work really well together

Customer: Yeahhhhh
Customer: I totally agree
Customer: Will surely do
