I feel he is being sincere for the time being, but you will need to move slowly with this new guy, especially considering you are coming out of an emotional break-up. Your dating with him is too new to say whether he really means what he says and does, but I feel he is basically a good guy who is not out to hurt you. Just remember, take things slowly and learn from your past mistakes. You are vulnerable now, and therefore, might be more easily taken advantage of; however, as I mentioned, I do feel he cares about your feelings and wants to do things to make you happy.
