So from the information you have provided you are trying to achieve a certain level of relaxation and enter a meditative state without the consumption of this DMT(or any substance for this matter).

Since the brain is highly active at all times, except during sleep, to achieve a higher level of relaxation within the body thus allowing the brain to "open" so to speak it takes an appreciable amount of concentration as well as active efforts to clear your mind. There are often physical tensions and distractions that must also be removed to allow yourself to completely relax. These techniques and practices, used by all types of people are often used to "refresh" a person's mind, and thus are practiced relatively frequently.

Elite athletes, as well as motivational speakers, certain political figures and dictators have all been known to use visualization techniques to clear their mind of any distraction and allow their brain to focus on the event or situation at hand. I believe this may be a part of what you need to be commited to do to allow your mind to free up its "resources" to achieve these feelings you are trying to achieve. Intense meditation techniques are often associated with feelings of extreme well-being, as well as being touted for experiences with out of body and light hallucinogenic experiences while giving a feeling of natural euphoria. These types of mind relaxation, body relaxation are often times something that require a lot of effort.

Relaxing the body physically more than likely plays a major role in achieveing this substance-free state you are looking for. Progressive relaxation techniques are techniques that actually help a person reach a relaxed state, by first focusing on eliminating physical stress and muscular tension, but then progress into mental relaxation so people can begin to truly relax. A proper stretching routine would eliminate a lot of excessive tension(as well as increasing a person's fitness level) but there are techniques that involve working from toe to head tensing each muscle briefly to identify it then allowing it to completely relax.

It is important to know that similar to lucid dreaming, extreme physical relaxation and these meditation techniques require a lot of concentration but more importantly may have different effects as you eventually progress into them learning how your body works and learning the ways in which you reach complete focus and complete relaxation. It is also safe to say that each person, in a given relaxed state or level of deep meditation will experience/visualize/feel slightly different things.

If you are really looking for a eurphoric state naturally, without using substances for this(which is safe and healthy) I would strongely recommend looking into progressive relaxation techniques both physical and mental as well as trying to explore lower-level meditation to teach your mind to eliminate distraction so you can work toward this goal of a these desired feelings and euphoric state.
