If I buy and item on eBay from a seller that is in a different state than I am in do I have to pay sales tax on the item? They're in California, I'm in Florida

The only time you would have to pay the Sales Tax is if you were in the same State as the seller.

If you were to buy something from someone in Florida and live in Florida, you would have to pay the Florida 6% sales tax, but since it is from California and out of State, you do not pay the sales tax.

It should state in the sellers conditions about sales tax as well as shipping.

I do a lot of buying on Ebay and have run into this when purchasing in and out of State.
