Hi-

Patience :

I'm going to try to look some things up for you.

Customer:

Thank you. C is not the correct answer.

Patience :

Which state are we talking sbout here?

Customer:

South Carolina

Patience :

Which state law? Because B. is probably the right answer unless you are in one of the 7 states that don't accept that as an exception to at will employment.

Customer:

Will this cost me $18.00, if so I can not pay that.

Patience :

Under the public-policy exception to employment at will, an employee is wrongfully discharged when the termination is against an explicit, well-established public policy of the State. For example, in most States, an employer cannot terminate an employee in retaliation for reporting something illegal.

Patience :

Only Alabama, Florida, louisiana, Maine, Nebraska, New York, Rhode Island, and Georgia do not have this exception.
