Nativism also known as political nativism. It is also such term which is used by scholars to refer the ethnocentric beliefs relates to immigration and nationalism. Nativism opposes to immigration. It means, the nativism opposes the legal status of specific cultural groups as such groups are considered as alien to natural culture. In fact, the assumption of nativism indicates that the immigrants cannot assimilate natural culture.
