Find the perimeter and area of a right triangle if one leg

Resolved Question:

Find the perimeter and area of a right triangle if one leg measures 5 cm and the other legs measures 12cm. Show all work step by step.

This is what I have so far.

C^2=a^2+b^2
c^2=5^2+12^12
c^2=25+144
C^2=169
c=13

p=a+b+c
p=5+12+13
p=30

a=bh
a=12*5
a=60

Not sure if this is correct.

You were correct in determining the length of the third side.

Your perimeter was subsequently correct as well.

In regards XXXXX XXXXX area of a right triangle, you made one small mistake. This formula is 1/2 base x height, so it would be 30 (instead of 60).

A= 1/2(bh)

A = 1/2(60)

A = 30
