I have a small safe that has a combination lock. Cant find

Resolved Question:

I have a small safe that has a combination lock. Can't find the combination and need to get into the safe. I have proof inside and outside the safe that I am the owner. Can you help me. I called a locksmith and he said he would have to drill the lock off, and I don't want to do that.

Hello, and welcome to Just Answer.

Under the circumstances you describe, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your safe, for instructions on how to recover your combination or reset it to a new one. If you have your owner's manual, it should have these instructions as well. I'm glad you mentioned you have proof of ownership for the safe, as this will be necessary, in the form of a notarized letter, before the company will supply you with any information.

If your safe is a Sentry, this information will help:

If you don't have your owner's manual, you might be able to download one online, and I can help you do that, if you let me know the manufacturerer. If it is a Sentry, this might help: http://www.sentrysafe.com/pdfs/OwnersManuals/505748.pdf

You can also contact the maker of your safe by email or phone. If it is Sentry, here is their contact information: 800-828-1438
