colon problem?

I have pain in my left side, it almost feels as if maybe my colon is blocked, even though my bowl movements have been good. I have been itching my left side of my spine under my ribs on my back, and in the front on my left side of my stomach, in the colon area. I am just not sure if this is something serious or not. My boss told me I need to eat more fruits, and water, and this has been happening for 4 days straight. It also hurts a little in the inside. Thanks for your time and help!
