Looking for a ceramic/glass/clay smoking pipe.
Hello,Customer and welcome back to JustAnswer!

Are you looking for a pipe made of either one of these materials, or all three?

Do you want to use it for smoking (to be functional) or as a display piece?

Thanks for all your additional detail.

Either material would be fine.

I want to use it for smoking tobacco. It is not for display, is for use. Should be plain, but functional. I have some preferences on its size and shape. I would like for the inside diameter of the bowl to be 3/4" and for another pipe I would like an inside diameter of 1".
Hi again, and thanks for your reply with additional information.

I've found the following pipes which should interest you:

You certainly found more that I was able to find when I searched. But, it's important that they be made of some material other than wood. I am totally blind and I have a problem in that I burn the wood with my lighter trying to light the tobacco. I was hoping to find something made of a non damageable material such as clay, ceramic or glass. If you could look just a bit more, I would appreciate it.
Hi again, and thanks for your reply.

I'm so sorry.......it seems that I did find ones made predominantly of wood! I understand the importance of having a non-flammable material to avoid accidents, and yes, I would be happy to research this further, for you!

Please give me some time to see what I can find that is not wood. It might take a little while.

Thanks in advance for your patience.

Hi again, and thanks very much for your patience.

I've found this glass pipe, which I think can be used with tobacco. This particular site seems to be geared toward the smoking of other materials, as well. I also found metal pipes on this site, but, while they have a 'bowl', they do not seem to have a traditional mouthpiece, because I think they are meant to be used with other smoking materials.

I also found these stone pipes at the same website:

The size of the bowls are not specified at the site above.

You also might enjoy these Meerschaum pipes, made of a lightweight material similar to soapstone; they are not inexpensive, though:
