I am a CSRS retiree and would like to request a copy of my 1099-R form for 2009? Is there a website? Am I able to view it online and/or receive a hard copy by mail?
Already Tried: Searching the SSA site for information
HelloCustomer
I'm a CSRS retiree, as well. Here's what you need to do. Go to the OPM Web site for retirees. Here's the link: https://www.servicesonline.opm.gov/(yboj1gq5ee5ztt45px02myvq)/Default.aspx
You will be prompted to log in using your retirement claim number (you should have a card that lists this number, or it will be on your statement) and pin. If you do not have a pin, you can request that they provide you with one. You can do this by sending an email to retire@opm.gov. Include your claim number, along with "Password XXXXX" in the subject line of the message.
Here's the message you need to include:
“I am receiving regular payments and I need a password. My claim number is XXXXX”
Your claim number starts with CS and has digits following it.
Once you have a pin, you can log in and view, print, or request a duplicate 1099--R.
I hope you found this answer helpful. Please press "accept," as that is the only way I receive credit for having assisted you. As always, I appreciate bonuses and positive feedback.
Best regards,
