Hi Cher

Thanks for the info, but none of these sellers actually sell probiotic cheese. I haven't tried all the health stores listed but did try some of them, and the cheese monger you suggested. In the Telegraph and Daily Mail recently there was a report that recent research has shown that probiotic cheese can strengthen the immune system. However, it is looking like no-one seems to manufacture it anymore.

Thanks anyway for your help.

Hi again, Bridget, and you're most welcome; thanks for your reply.

I'm sorry none of the sellers you tried, carry probiotic cheese.

I read some interesting articles re: the health benefits of probiotic cheeses, and it seems that even if a cheese is not 'called' probiotic, certain cheeses do fall into the category and are considered healthier, contain 'natural' probiotics, enzymes, etc. due to the aging process, and can help to strengthen the immune system.

Here is what I found:

http://www.probiotics-lovethatbug.com/what-is-probiotic-cheese.html

http://jds.fass.org/cgi/content/full/87/7/2017

The probiotic cheese may be difficult to find, because it was not considered a 'major' success: http://www.nutraingredients-usa.com/Industry/Kraft-probiotic-cheese-is-a-disappointment

This may be the article you read:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1278377/Piece-cheese-day-helps-protect-immune-elderly.html

There are a lot more, but I picked out the ones that may be most helpful to you.

Perhaps if you buy some of the cheeses mentioned, their natural probiotic properties will be helpful to your immune system.
