I am possibly going start my own business but really don't have the money to get it off the ground. I was thinking if getting a loan from my bank by my credit history isn't that good. I have a full time job but not enough to help me supplement the start of a business (ads, fliers, equipment, etc). Is there anyone who would know of a way for me to at least get started? I would kindly appreciate any suggestions, feedback and assistance in my inquiry. Thank you.
HelloCustomer
Many communities across the nation have a small business development agency that helps small businesses get off the ground. The services they provide include mentoring, by pairing you with a successful businessperson or retired executive in your area; small business incubators, where they provide you with support, such as office space and equipment that you would share with other small businesses in the incubator; and assistance in developing business plans, which you will need in order to approach banks and other funding sources for start-up funding. I would suggest that you find a small business development center by visiting this Web site: http://www.sba.gov/aboutsba/sbaprograms/sbdc/sbdclocator/SBDC_LOCATOR.html
In addition, you can find additional information through SCORE, which is staffed by former executives and business owners to advise and assist you. Their site is also a good resource for information and options for starting your business. More information can be found here: http://www.score.org/index.html
Finally, you can find small business incubators and information about them at the National Small Business Incubator Association site, located here: http://www.nbia.org/
Good luck in your quest! I hope one or all of these resources are able to assist you.
